This year we had the pleasure to attend the eagerly awaited Collectively Camberley Car Show on Saturday 13th August 2022 – running for its 11th year!

Hosted and promoted by Love Camberley, and sponsored by Seymour’s Camberley, the event witnessed a massive Camberley Town Centre Take Over!

The whole event was professionally delivered at every turn, from its promotion, presence and professional staff, who, all embraced their various roles under the sweltering heat with the most courteous of manners accompanied with excellent service with a smile.

Steve Coburn Chairman of Love Camberley, also found time within his busy day to share more about the event with Dee Shepherd from Camberley Life.

He explained how the event has grown from humble beginnings to the prestigious event that it has become today and also explained why the longstanding charity The Kidney Fund associated with the fundraising event is close to his heart.

Plus, Neil Braybrooke-Tidy also enjoyed a catch-up with the well-known Edd China talking about all things ‘Oranges’ and Surrey Heath Mayor took time out to share why she fully supported this event too.

The car show spanned across the main pedestrianised Park Street, through each end of the indoor shopping centre out onto the parallel and adjoining streets of Obleiske Way, Park Street, and High Street.

This year also included an awards ceremony, judges; Surrey Heath Mayor, Edd China and Steve Coburn had their work cut out for them as they judged every entry into the motorcycle and motor vehicle categories.

Award categories include; Best Motor Cycle, Best Classic Car and the creme de la creme; Best in Show Car, to name a few. Without even knowing it, we even managed to interview the winner of the Best Classic Car Category, Keith with his Jaguar both before the awards announcement, then afterwards, as together we celebrated his win.

With a fabulous array of classic, modern and high-performance cars, there was something for everyone – even the giant Scalextric, Character Cars, and face painting too!

The day could not have been any more of a success; sunshine, smiles, an amazing atmosphere, fabulous community spirit, music, food and beverages, and all in aid of raising funds for a great charity.

It truly was a day to remember.
